Body Cam Gold: Watch Joel Stern Try To Break the Law
Impersonation, arrogance, and one very confused Orange County Sheriff's deputy
I will cover the Orange County Legislature meeting that happened Thursday night, which involved public comment and a resolution opposing the ICE facility at 800 Corporate Boulevard in the Town of Newburgh, on Monday.

And now, we proudly present "Village Executive" Joel Stern, pulled over for a minor traffic violation.
But.
Because Joel Stern is a walking, talking shande far di goyim, you can watch him repeatedly try and big shot this Sheriff’s deputy to no effect in the video below.
He may also have committed a crime.
Now, some of you may not be familiar with Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree, but where this video is concerned, a person is guilty of that crime if they “pretend to be a representative of some person or organization and does an act in such pretended capacity with intent to obtain a benefit or to injure or defraud another.”
For the record: There is no such role, to our knowledge, of any “Village Executive” in New York State.
Mr. Stern is also not the Village Executive of South Blooming Grove.
He’s not even the mayor.
Nor is he the “Co-Mayor” as he was identified by The KJ Weekly. (Use google translate on the image at the end of this article to see that one yourself.)
Mr. Stern’s official title is Confidential Assistant to the Mayor.
However, and here’s where it gets complicated, the Village of South Blooming Grove has not held a legitimate election since at least 2023.
The Village outright skipped the 2024 election, and then held a phantom election in October 2025 after skipping the March 2025 election.
This phantom election was reported to the state attorney general’s office, and Letitia James was sued previously over her inaction in South Blooming Grove.
So, Letitia James, who’s out there talking about the defense of our democracy, is ignoring what could be one of the largest provable examples of voter fraud happening in America right now.

Since 2024, the Village of South Blooming Grove has had, legally speaking, a de facto government.
One that’s essentially squatting until someone decides to do something about it.
(As we said yesterday, The Monroe Gazette is going to sue Joel Stern and Isaac Ekstein in federal court, alleging a conspiracy to commit voter fraud and coerce the outcome of elections, which is a federal crime under the Ku Klux Klan Act.)
That Brings Us To The Crime
All of this is to say: At best, Joel Stern is a shvantz, exaggerating his low-level gig with the Village to coerce this Orange County Sheriff’s deputy into not charging him with anything.
At worst, Joel Stern is not even legally a village employee, is caught here pretending to be one, and attempting to use the fake title of “Village Executive” to coerce this Orange County Sheriff’s deputy into not charging him with anything.
Mr. Stern has specifically been called out about using that fake Village Executive title in court, as he was in the ongoing lawsuit between Orange County and the Village of South Blooming Grove.
Mr. Stern has also falsely represented himself as “Village Executive” to numerous state officials, Congressman Pat Ryan’s office, and Kathy Hochul’s staff.
So, this “Village Executive” nonsense isn’t a one-off.
(Reminder: Hochul has stalled, for over a year, two FOIL requests concerning her and her team’s interactions with Joel Stern, Isaac Ekstein, and the United Jewish Community of Blooming Grove, Stern and Ekstein’s organization. After a year, Hochul’s office claimed to The Monroe Gazette that releasing these communications would interfere with ongoing business of her office.)
Mr. Stern has not replied to our requests for comment on this video.
We also asked Orange County’s Sheriff’s Department if they will turn over this footage to the District Attorney for further investigation. At this time we have not heard back from them.
