Happy Birthday, America!
Here is our plan for The Monroe Gazette over the course of the next year.
Above: Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus has no rizz.
That said, I appreciate these videos and encourage you to watch them. According to the Cato Institute, 46% of Americans don’t know what our 250th birthday is celebrating tomorrow —It’s the Declaration of Independence, to be clear—and Orange County has a great Revolutionary War history that more residents should know about.
We have a lot of plates spinning here at The Monroe Gazette, so let’s do a quick timeline check so everyone knows where we’re at, and what’s coming in the days and months ahead.
-We are now posting daily. You can expect new updates at 8am EST. If I need to miss a day, I will let you know. Eventually, each post will have a video with it.
-I finished my book, How to Protect Yourself From Fascists & Weirdos. The .PDF and .MP3 editions of the book are coming soon. As soon as they’re available, I’ll let you know. You can read the full text of the book here.
-My next book, currently untitled, is basically the entire federal court case that I plan to file pro se against the Village of South Blooming Grove, involving a conspiracy they have engaged in to deprive residents of the Village of their right to vote since at least 2024.
Once this book gets started, that’s what the majority of posts on The Monroe Gazette will be about. So you’re going to see me write, research, and report on the book in real time.
But …
-In order to work on that book, I need the current South Blooming Grove FOIL case to end successfully in our favor. That will reveal any additional documents or evidence of the conspiracy to subvert the vote of non-Satmar residents. This could take a while.
So, there’s two other things we’re going to do while we wait. In addition to covering the news, of course.
-We’re going to show you how to file a small claims lawsuit against a municipality in New York State. This is especially helpful if you’re dealing with someone bothering you with a fake account on a social media platform, and you want to find out who it is so you can take the appropriate action. In addition, we’re going to recap how to FOIL, so that you can use small claims court to potentially deal with a municipality that doesn’t want to cooperate with your requests.
-We are also going to teach you how to use FOIA (the Freedom of Information Act.) This is particularly important given the potential for an ICE detention Center in Newburgh and getting documents from the GSA and DHS concerning it. ICE is, as you can imagine, not very cooperative. So, expect some articles and posts around how to get records from federal agencies since ICE seems hell bent on setting up shop in the Hudson Valley.
Sound good? That’s my offer to you. I’m going to do all that between now and June 24th, 2027. If you want to support these efforts, all you have to do is upgrade to being a paid subscriber.
The Monroe Gazette is ad-free and paywall-free, covering local news in Monroe and surrounding towns as well as county, state, and national issues that impact those residents.
If you’d like to keep it that way, we’re looking to recruit 998 paid annual subscribers between now and June 24, 2027. Want to help keep the lights on? If you’re new here or already a free subscriber, press that beautiful blue button below to upgrade.
We’ll see you on Monday, July 6th. Until then, make sure you watch this video and read up on Frederick Douglas, one of our New Founding Fathers.
