Monroe: Who Assaults Someone At a Food Truck Festival?

This is a developing story.

Over the weekend, an incident occurred at the Food Truck Festival.

A sentence I never thought I’d ever write.

The short version is this: Councilwoman Maureen Richardson got into a heated discussion with Jennifer Schnaars. Mrs. Schnaars is both the Human Resources head for the Town of Monroe and Supervisor Tony Cardone’s campaign treasurer.

How Mrs. Schnaars is supposed to be an impartial figure in processing Human Resources issues involving the Supervisor has not been explained by the Town.

Then again, given how compromised the Town of Monroe Ethics Board is — filled with former United Monroe members — this probably shouldn’t be a surprise.
