As promised, this is the audio version of this week’s Monroe Gazette post concerning the Orange County Sheriff’s presence in the Town of Monroe.
If you live in Monroe, or Southern Orange County, I think you have a moral and ethical imperative to attend Monday’s Public Hearing on October 20th at 7pm over at Town Hall.
Since I published this story, the Sheriff, Paul Arteta, informed our first responders in Monroe that the arrangement proposed by Cardone is a “done deal.” (A spokesman for the Sheriff’s department denies this, despite what our firefighters are saying. Houle and Cardone did not reply to requests for comment on this matter.)
